Progressive Training Curriculum

The Student Division follows a carefully structured progression from Pre-Ballet through Level C, allowing dancers to build skills and confidence at an appropriate pace. Each level introduces new technical and artistic concepts while reinforcing the foundations that come before it, creating a clear pathway for consistent, well-rounded development in classical ballet.

AGES 3-4

Pre-Ballet

Meets Wednesdays, Saturdays

Enrollment Options include one or both classes per week.

Pre-Ballet introduces young dancers to the joy of movement while establishing the foundational skills necessary for future ballet training. Through imaginative exercises, musicality, coordination activities, and basic ballet vocabulary, students develop body awareness, classroom etiquette, and a love for dance in a nurturing and structured environment.

aGes 5-6

Basic Ballet

Meets Saturdays

Basic Ballet serves as a bridge between creative movement and formal ballet training, Students are introduced to ballet positions, posture, coordination, rhythm, and elementary classroom structure. Emphasis is placed on developing concentration, listening skills, and proper movement habits while fostering confidence and enjoyment of dance.

ages 7-8

Level A1

Meets Mondays & Wednesdays

A1 introduces students to the fundamental principles of classical ballet technique. Dancers begin developing alignment, turnout, coordination, flexibility, strength, and musicality through structured barre and center exercises. This level establishes the technical foundation necessary for advancement within the Academy.

ages 9-10

Level A2

Meets Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays

A2 expands upon the fundamentals introduced in A1 while increasing technical expectations and class complexity. Students continue developing strength, placement, coordination, and artistry while refining basic ballet vocabulary. Introductory conditioning and pre-pointe preparation support the dancer's physical development and readiness for more advanced study.

ages 11-12

Level B1

Meets Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays

B1 marks the transition into more focused ballet training. Students work to strengthen technical proficiency while expanding their vocabulary, coordination, and understanding of classical ballet principles. Pointe work is introduced for eligible students, and dancers begin exploring more demanding combinations, performance quality, and artistic expression.

ages 13-14

Level B2

Meets Mondays through Thursdays & Saturdays

B2 students are expected to demonstrate increased commitment and technical consistency. Training emphasizes strength, endurance, precision, and musicality while expanding pointe work and introducing more advanced movement concepts. Additional conditioning supports the physical demands of this level and prepares dancers for advanced classical training.

ages 15+

Level C

Meets Mondays through Thursdays & Saturdays

The Advanced Division (C) is designed for dedicated dancers pursuing serious classical ballet training. Classes focus on refining technical execution, artistry, strength, stamina, and performance quality. Students are expected to demonstrate maturity, discipline, and a strong work ethic while preparing for advanced repertoire, summer intensives, collegiate programs, and pre-professional opportunities.
